Bridgestone Appoints Yasuhiro Morita as New Global CEO
Bridgestone Corporation has announced that Yasuhiro Morita will succeed Shuichi Ishibashi as the company’s Global CEO, effective January 1, 2026. Morita, 52, has been with Bridgestone since 1996 and brings extensive experience in the tyre industry, particularly in Europe and Asia. He has held various leadership roles, including Managing Director in Thailand and China, CEO of Bridgestone Asia Pacific, and most recently, Global Chief Administration Officer and Chief Strategy Officer.
As CEO, Morita aims to drive sustainable growth and enhance corporate value, aligning with Bridgestone’s mission of “Serving Society with Superior Quality.” This leadership change is part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its foundation as it approaches its 100th anniversary in 2031. A new global management structure for 2026 will be announced once finalized.
