Apollo Tyres unveils strategy to expand truck and bus tyre range and support fleets across Europe

Apollo Tyres has announced a new strategic plan to expand its truck and bus radial (TBR) tyre portfolio in Europe, aiming to offer a wider range of products and enhanced support for commercial fleets and transport operators. The move is built on a refreshed production and distribution framework designed to improve availability, product choice, and technical service for customers across major European markets. Under the strategy, Apollo Tyres is shifting its TBR production operations from its plant in Hungary to its larger and more advanced factory in India. That facility already has the capacity and quality systems required to serve the European market and will help accelerate the expansion of the company’s TBR lineup.

By the end of 2026, the expanded range is expected to cover up to 80 percent of key truck and bus tyre sizes and formats needed by operators in the region, including drive tyres, trailer tyres, and options for heavy-duty applications. Apollo plans to introduce new products alongside established names such as EnduRace and EnduTrax, which are known for durability, fuel efficiency, and strong mileage performance.

To support this product push, Apollo Tyres is also strengthening its technical and field support teams in Europe. Two dedicated service units will provide on-site assistance, technical advice, and product optimisation support to fleets and dealers, helping improve service levels and customer experience.

The strategy further includes investment in Apollo’s European research and development hub in the Netherlands, enhancing tyre benchmarking, design, and prototype testing tailored to regional needs. Apollo Tyres hopes these enhancements will help it compete more effectively with established commercial tyre brands in Europe’s demanding transport sector.

Industry observers view this move as a sign of how global tyre makers are adapting to shifting demand patterns. By combining advanced manufacturing capability in India with dedicated European engineering and service support, Apollo Tyres aims to deliver a compelling mix of performance, availability, and service for truck and bus operators across the continent.
