Hero Vida VXZ Electric Motorcycle Teased Ahead of EICMA 2025 Debut
Indian two-wheeler giant Hero MotoCorp has dropped a teaser for its upcoming electric motorcycle, the “Project VXZ,” set to debut at the EICMA 2025 show in Milan on 4 November 2025. Car and Bike
The teaser silhouette reveals a street-fighter style design with a sharp headlight housing, the signature Vida LED daytime-running light pattern, a stepped split seat, and muscular proportions. The teaser hints at a mid-mounted electric motor (rather than a hub-motor) and a belt-drive system for the rear wheel.
Under the skin, the layout suggests the battery pack and motor are integrated within the frame area, giving the machine a lower centre of gravity and cleaner styling. Suspension appears to be an inverted front fork and mono-shock rear. While Hero hasn’t released performance numbers yet, industry commentary expects the VXZ to target premium electric-bike territory and perhaps serve as a halo model for the Vida brand’s EV ambitions.
Hero Vida’s previous models (like scooters) have positioned it as the company’s EV sub-brand, and this VXZ teaser reinforces its intent to move into electric motorcycles with serious design and tech credentials. The global reveal at EICMA is likely to include full model details, after which an India launch might follow in 2026.
Editor’s View
This teaser from Hero Vida marks a pivotal moment for India’s electric two-wheeler segment. By exposing the VXZ with a mid-mounted motor and belt drive, Hero signals the shift toward premium electric motorcycle architecture rather than simply repurposing ICE models.
For the tyre industry and mobility suppliers, this matters; heavier batteries, more powerful motors, and higher speeds change tyre load profiles, thermal demands, and wear patterns. Tyre makers and aftermarket players must anticipate bikes like the VXZ: they will require tyres designed for instant torque, strong lateral grip, and long-distance durability. The electric motorcycle evolution is underway, and the ripple will reach tyres, too.
