Hero Hunk 440 Makes UK Debut as Hero MotoCorp Expands Global Footprint
Hero MotoCorp has introduced its new Hunk 440 motorcycle in the United Kingdom, marking another step in the brand’s global expansion strategy. Priced at £3,499 (around ₹3.6 lakh), the motorcycle enters the UK’s A2-licence segment through a partnership with MotoGB Ltd, one of the region’s leading distributors.
The Hunk 440 features a 440 cc air-oil-cooled single-cylinder engine delivering 27 bhp and 36 Nm of torque. It comes equipped with USD front forks, dual-channel ABS, LED lighting, disc brakes on both wheels, and a fully digital TFT display. These upgrades position it competitively in Europe’s mid-capacity motorcycle market.
Hero MotoCorp plans to start with 25 dealers in the UK and expand to 35 outlets by 2026. With this launch, the company’s presence now extends to 51 countries, as it looks to strengthen exports and brand visibility beyond Asia. The UK debut aligns with Hero’s strategy of targeting mature markets while sustaining growth in emerging ones.
Tyre Times’ View:
Hero’s international expansion signals growing confidence in India’s automotive manufacturing strength. For tyre makers, this may indirectly open avenues for collaboration and supply, especially as Hero introduces higher-performance models needing advanced tyres. More broadly, it reflects India’s rising credibility in the global two-wheeler market, an ecosystem where every new export adds potential ripple effects for ancillary industries.
